EVOLUTION - Explore the Potential of Sound

Join the Old Joes Choir as they present their 10th Anniversary concert, "EVOLUTION - Explore the Potential of Sound". Experience the magic as musical works from across the ages take on a different dimension to transform and evolve while staying true to the spirit of the original.

This time too the Choir has surpassed boundaries and fused genres, paying tribute to various artistes who have shaped the musical soundscape across the ages.

Allow us to take you from the hauntingly beautiful creations of Karl Jenkins to the 'Big Apple' with Frank Sinatra, see Broadway come alive as the Choir is joined by special guest artistes Anjuli Gooneratne and Jehan Aloysious, feel the gospel vibe with Billy Joel, celebrate pop culture with anthems by the likes of Sir Elton John, REO Speedwagon and Eagle Eye Cherry before paying homage to iconic rock acts including Metallica and the Scorpions.

This is choral music with an edge, reworked, recast and presented as only we know on the 20th, 21st and 22nd July at 7.30pm at the Wendt.

Its time to explore the true potential of sound…

Tickets are priced at Rupees 600/- 400/- and 250/- and would be available with members of the choir and at the venue from Friday the 13th onwards

A contribution would be made to the Children's Ward of the National Cancer Hospital Maharagama
