Saving a life

This little fella was da lucky one outa i think abt 3 kittens left to die by the mom in the storm that hit colombo few days ago. well its still raining but not as hard. Well i heard this little one cryin on a early weekday morning on this abandoned peace of land next to our house. and for this dudes luck i felt like rambo on a mission in Vietnam! it was fun jumping from a wall to a tree and then to this land area now turned into a jungle. (it took more than a hop step and a jump to get there believe me) and it was raining so hard it hurt when the rain hit ur body! im serious! here i am trying to rescue the kitten and he/she (i still didnt chk) instinctively started running away from me. (that didnt help).. we are talking abt going through jungle like terrain not knowing wats behind the multi layers of wet leafs and branches on the ground and this grass abt 3 feet in height.

so finally got it rescued and did the whole hop step and a jump in reverse with the kitten in hand (now try that rambo!) there was another one lying dead there and that evening mom saw this monitor gulpin up wat was there... yeah now u knw how lucky this bugger is..... and my sister wanted to keep it...so there she is....oh and my mom wanted to get daffy friendly with it and apparently my dog wanted to make a snack out of it (dnt worry nothin happened)....daffy is 10 years old now but he is still not giving up on takin advantage of another animal thats (rarely) smaller in size! (he's a dashound...) this thing is abt the size of my hand, im sure when it starts climbing trees and shit daffy wont be a problem.

guess wat? mom called it "Kitty" (WTF?) ....

Great advice from a Dog

  • When loved ones come home, always run to greet them.
  • Never pass up the opportunity to go for a joyride.
  • Allow the experience of fresh air and the wind in your face to be pure ecstasy.
  • When it's in your best interest, practice obedience. !
  • Let others know when they've invaded your territory.
  • Take naps.
  • Stretch before rising.
  • Run, romp, and play daily.
  • Thrive on attention and let people touch you.
  • Avoid biting when a simple growl will do.
  • On warm days, stop to lie on your back in the grass.
  • On hot days, drink lots of water and lie under a shady tree.
  • When you're happy, dance around and wag your entire body.
  • No matter how often you're scolded, don't buy into the guilt thing and pout .. run right back and make friends.
  • Delight in the simple joy of a long walk.
  • Eat with gusto and enthusiasm. Stop when you have had enough.
  • Be loyal. Never pretend to be something you're not.
  • If what you want lies buried, dig until you find it.
  • When someone is having a bad day, be silent, sit close by and nuzzle them gently.

How many dogs does it take to change a light bulb?

How many dogs does it take to change a light bulb?
1. Golden Retriever: The sun is shining, the day is young, we've got our whole lives ahead of us, and you're inside worrying about a stupid burned out bulb?
2. Border Collie: Just one. And then I'll replace any wiring that's not up to code.
3. Dachshund: You know I can't reach that stupid lamp!
4. Rottweiler: Make me.
5. Boxer: Who cares? I can still play with my squeaky toys in the dark.
6. Lab: Oh, me, me!!!!! Pleeeeeeeeeze let me change the light bulb! Can I? Can I? Huh? Huh? Huh? Can I? Pleeeeeeeeeze, please, please, please!
7. German Shepherd: I'll change it as soon as I've led these people from the dark, check to make sure I haven't missed any, and make just one more perimeter patrol to see that no one has tried to take advantage of the situation
8. Jack Russell Terrier: I'll just pop it in while I'm bouncing off the walls and furniture.
9. Old English Sheep Dog: Light bulb? I'm sorry, but I don't see a light bulb!
10. Cocker Spaniel: Why change it? I can still pee on the carpet in the dark.
11. Chihuahua : Yo quiero Taco Bulb. Or "We don't need no stinking light bulb."
12. Greyhound: It isn't moving. Who cares?
13. Australian Shepherd: First, I'll put all the light bulbs in a little circle...
14. Poodle: I'll just blow in the Border Collie's ear and he'll do it. By the time he finishes rewiring the house, my nails will be dry.
How many cats does it take to change a light bulb?
Cats do not change light bulbs. People change light bulbs. So, the real question is:
"How long will it be before I can expect some light, some dinner, and a massage?"
